As you may be aware, IIIF was established in 2002 with the intent of imparting quality education in the field of insurance and risk management. IIIF is equipping the young minds with the requisite knowledge and skills enabling them to make a meaningful and constructive contribution to the Indian insurance sector which is witnessing phenomenal growth in the Indian economy at the same time offering good opportunities to the qualified people in this domain.

The IIIF’s Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management (P G D I R M) caters to the demand of various insurance careers ranging from marketing, underwriting, customer support, operations to claims management. IIIF is preparing its graduating students for challenging careers through an intensive & rigorous curriculum with 800 hours of teaching content. The focus is on developing all round personality of the students in the backdrop of integration in financial services and risk management by constant industry exposure and project work.
IIIF - PGDIRM is having academic collaboration with Robinson school of Risk Management, Georgia State University, USA and the diploma certificate is awarded by Osmania University, Hyderabad.

The emerging scenario requires Insurance Professionals with deep knowledge and skills in Insurance Management, Risk Management, Investment management, Insurance Marketing, Claims Management, Underwriting, Actuarial Sciences, Re-insurance, Product Development, Loss Adjustment etc., and promises to provide unending opportunities to successful careers. IIIF students have joined various careers.

Actuarial. Students with strong Mathematics, Statistics and Finance background are suitable. Job involves product development, premia fixation and product review.

Underwriting.. To understand and estimate the market risk exposures.

Marketing.. For promoting and selling the products, including understanding the distribution mechanism and competition, Market Research etc.,

Investment Professionals.. To find profitable avenues for investment of premiums collected and surplus generated.

Insurance Surveyors.. To assess the loss/ damages of insured property. Many independent professionals are finding this a lucrative option.

Insurance Broking.. A number of insurance broking firms have come up in the liberalized environment - a good source of business.

Bancassurance. Banks dealing in insurance products. Already 12 banks have forayed into this lucrative area.

M.I.S/ Operations..Insurance knowledge coupled with Good computer skills promises jobs in operations and back office operations in Insurance companies and BPOs.

Domain Specialists.. Software companies and BPOs are in urgent need of people with rich insurance knowledge to facilitate development of software packages and content development useful for easy functioning and processing of insurance businesses.
